Feeding schedule?
My twins are both 1mnth & I’ve been trying to feed them on an every 3hr schedule & at the same time so they can sleep together but i’m starting to notice a few differences such as 1.) they seem to be getting hungrier meaning I had to go up on their milk volume because they would holler for more after a bottle. & 2.) i’ve noticed during the day, 1 of them may stay awake a little longer until he puts himself to sleep. Since they are a month old, can I start feeding them on demand whenever they wake up for a bottle or is it still too soon, they were NICU babies & were being fed on schedule there so they can gain their correct weight so i’m not sure if feeding on a schedule is helping them gain weight but they look pretty thick to me 😭. How soon did you start giving your baby more milk if the primary bottle wasn’t enough??
Hi mama just wanna start off by saying you’re doing great! My boys are 9 months old now and also spent 6 weeks in the NICU. And let me tell you one thing that NICU schedule is a life saver. Continue to always keep them on the same schedule it’ll save you. If one wakes and you decide to feed them early wake the other too. Always feed them at the same time! As far as putting more milk in their bottles my boys were the same way. I’d just give them a few more milliliters until they weren’t screaming anymore. It was basically right when we got home from the NICU that they were demanding more.
