Car seat trouble

Hi ladies! I’m really stuck on what to do atm. I have an ickle bubba car seat with a newborn insert (which is required for babies under 60cm). My baby is 8 weeks old and is 60cm in length. He seems too big for the insert. However, when we took it out yesterday his head wasn’t fully supported when he fell asleep. His head was way too far forward. When he was awake he was fine as he could hold his head up. What do I do?

I would keep the insert in when he's so young. I know he may look a little squashed but that's better than not supported enough. If you're on Facebook, there's a helpful group who could assist with fit checks if you pop a picture up. It's called Extended Rear Facing (ERF) Car Seats UK & Ireland.

Unfortunately it’s a poor seat and doesn’t offer very good supportive fit for babies (I know car seats are a minefield and we don’t always know these things when we’re first time mamas!) I would say at 8 weeks he should still need the insert in. You could always post a pic for a fit support on a car seat safety group x

Thank you so much both of you 😊 I’ll look at a group x

I have the same issue!! I’ll check the group out aswel
