What type of miscarriage did I have?

I found out I was pregnant around 10-11 DPO but I wasn't having the symptoms I had with my son. Also, my clear blue dye tests slowly progressing but were not due stealers and didn't get my 3+ weeks until I was 6 weeks pregnant. At my 6 week scan no fetal pole was found. Only a yolk and gestational sac. Then a week later the same but the yolk and gestational sacs were bigger. I bled and passed the pregnancy. Was this a chemical or blighted ovum?

Blighted ovum. Chemicals don’t get to the stage of developing a yolk sac etc as they barely attach to your lining at all. Anything after 6 weeks is a miscarriage rather than chemical x

Ohhh I’ve never had a chemical then. I’m glad you asked this because I was wondering the same. I think I had two missed miscarriages and then one blighted ovum. They’re equally gut wrenching though. I’m so sorry mama.

@Lisa I’ve had 2 chemicals and midwife’s explained it to me as you fall pregnant but the embryo either never attaches to the lining or struggles to develop within so wouldn’t reach the point of being identifiable on a scan. I didn’t know either until she explained it x
