i’ve experienced this kinda feeling quite a lot in life and it must be so difficult postpartum. i really think you should look after yourself and baby and reach out to your local perinatal mental health team. you shouldn’t have to work through it alone and yours and baby’s safety are a priority💕
Hi ladies thank you for replying. I’m not sure if it is postpartum psychosis or just anxiety symptoms causing dissociation. I just find every morning I’m focused on it and scared of it x
Jodie how did you get over it? X
Why do you need to work through it without help? I’d absolutely be trying to reach out to professionals.
My GP and then the perinatal team have met me once and said it is a symptom of anxiety but just is so scary
When I don’t focus on it and do a task I seem to be fine
Have your GP and the mental health team offer any talking therapies or assessment with a clinical psychologist? I would be asking / requesting that if you haven't yet got a referral.
I’m not sure if I’m in my own head and panicking about it all.
Hi! That sounds really scary. I think you should definitely reach out to someone for some help - please don't be afraid to. Wishing you all the best.
