When did your vaginal stitches dissolve?

I had a second degree tear and stitches on perineum dissolved quite quickly, but the ones on the labia took longer, I believe it was almost 6 weeks! Regarding looking down there, I was scared as well and then one day I just gathered the courage and took a mirror - well it looked completely normal, it’s not such carnage as we think it is 😊
I used a mirror and would check myself after I would shower. For me, it took a bit longer than two weeks but I know everyone heals differently.

Use the wet baby wipes to wipe and then just throw away in the diaper trash bin. I felt like mine healed at 5 weeks but didn’t really check until my dr did at the 6 week appointment and said they were but still had scar tissue under my second degree tear in the center that needs healing. ❤️🩹
It really depends on your body’s healing process . I had 3rd degree tears and didnt heal until 13weeks , some had the same tears and healed within the 6-8 weeks. So its different for everyone . Dont be scared take a hand held mirror and take a quick peek
Maybe he can look right after you get out of the shower. I was scared to look or touch mine as well. By the time I worked up the courage they were gone already. The first time I looked I used a mirror.
