Following the thread as I'd also like to know. I've booked a trial session with Turtletots to see how they are
Puddle ducks have a referral scheme where you both get £20
I remember taking my son to this Henbury pool when he was few months old and I found it far too cold for him.Didn't go back after tbh... so may have improved as that was nearly 2 yrs ago...I find the Bradley stoke leisure centre good and the monthly amount of £34.50 for swimming lessons is actually affordable, was the cheapest I could find. Xx
I done water babies which was like 20 a lesson for a few months and then change to active in Bradley Stoke and was terrible it was more messing about than actual leafing so went straight back to water babies lol x
Learning**
We go to Horfield - have for about a year. It’s good! They don’t really learn much but it’s good fun and great for confidence. We started on a floaty vest + 3 foam bands on each arm and now he has no vest just 2 bands. I think the level up (age 3+) they go in without parents and there it’s more skill learning. Water temp very hit and miss - sometimes freezing!! Sometimes lovely. Mostly it’s okay.
P.s. I'll definitely say the £20+ classes are known to be more learning beneficial. But I couldnt justify/ afford £80+ a month sadly. But the Bradley Stoke one £34.50 a month is good enough for what we wanted; confidence, fun, and to give us ideas of what to work on with him when we go swimming with him ourselves (he's 2 atm) xx
We go to penny porter with puddle ducks and would say it’s worth it. It’s a hydrotherapy pool so lovely & warm, the teachers are great and there’s only a max of 5/6 per session
