Breast Pump Cleaning Advice

How is everyone sterilising their breast pumps? I’ve not long been pumping and currently have an 8 month old. I’m simply washing the parts in warm soapy water, then soaking them in hot soapy water (I’ve been using antibacterial washing up liquid). After leaving them to soak, I rinse them in hot water and leave to air dry on paper towel. Sometimes they don’t dry completely so I use paper towel to dry them (with clean hands) and assemble them. Is this doing enough? I have a Tommee Tippee microwave steriliser but my pump instructions (Nuliie pump) tell me not to put it in the microwave….😩Advice please!

This is exactly how I sterilised my pumps, occasionally I’d use Milton cold water steriliser and it worked great for me x

I use milton tabs or a uv steriliser after washing

So I only wash and sterilise once a day... in-between I either use pump wipes on a night or when I'm out, or I store then in a sealed container in the fridge during the day. When I wash its hot soapy water, rinse, then Milton tablet

I don't sterilise. My pump instructions say to wash in hot soapy water so that's what I do.

Hot soapy water and then Milton cold water sterilizer. I only sterilize once a day and store in the fridge otherwise.

I use Milton tablets once a day and put the pump in the fridge if at home. Otherwise, I clean with Milton wipes between uses.

i have an electric sterilizer / dryer that steams everything and then dries it. so convenient. it’s a generic brand i found on amazon for like $40. best purchase so far! mostly because they take so long to air dry otherwise.
