My son does “mamamamama” or “dadadadada” and that’s it, hasn’t really said any words yet
My son has said “mamama” and “dadadada” and like two times he’s said “juice” I was really worried to and I talked to the doctor and he said he wouldn’t be worried until he’s around the age of 2 that’s when he should be learning a lot more words and trying to use sentences
“Ba” for ball counts! Keep emphasizing words to help him learn, especially animal sounds and any topics he’s especially interested in. Give him some more time
I think a better indication of learning words is how they understand you. Can they follow commands? If you ask for something specific, do they understand?
Mine is the same. The doctor said 3-6 words at this age is normal too. Mine says ba for ball and mama dada
My son is in pretty much the same boat with talking right now. I think this age is mostly good for copy cat things and learning meanings. I don't expect my son to SAY the words but he's definitely understanding what the things I'm saying MEAN. I'll say shoes and he'll go grab them, or diaper change and he'll grab me his diapers. When I say phone he'll grab It and pretend to talk or bring it to me. I think the actual TALKING is more so around 2 years old. If my son is still at the same spot verbally by 2 years old maybe speech therapy, but I think they're putting meaning to what we say as of now and they'll attempt to say the words more soon.
My son just had his 15 month appointment and he just says dada right now. He’s said mama like 5 times too but not consistent. His dr said at 18 months if he’s not saying more he will need early intervention. I feel like he understands me and he knows some animal noises. I’m hoping he will start saying more soon but if not I’m happy to get him (and me) some help.
This, what's this, up, yes, dada, mama, and he's trying to say "I love you"
My son will say momma and dada and ball a lot. He's been learning hi and bye and he said apple 2 times. He loves to point and baby talk or scream. I think yours is going at a good pace. I wouldn't worry until he's like 2.5 and isn't saying sentences
