I love Usborne book sets, I would read them to my LO most nights and he’d be so engaged and follow along as I turned the pages. They’re also not too short or too long! - I’d also recommend practicing tummy time, sing songs, let them look in a mirror, take them for walks, show them black & white visual cards, and you can even buy something like a kick and play piano mat. But don’t stress about keeping them entertained 24/7, baby’s at that age can’t do much and it’s okay to let them relax with you x
My son is 14 weeks and loves books. He’s really fond of a dinosaur themed crinkle book and the little Dino stuffie that came with it has been perfect for him to practice gripping and holding things. Here’s an Amazon link: https://a.co/d/asPoF9b My son didn’t really show interest in books or toys until he hit 3 months. Before that we did tummy time and a lot of face to face time, chit chatting, etc (we still do all this too). If you’re looking for developmental activity ideas and milestone into Pathways.org has a free app.
Thank you everyone
Please don’t stress that your not entertaining your little one enough, some tummy time and some tummy time books might be lovely! They just enjoy your comfort at this point, going for walks, maybe some baby sensory? Xx
