Have any of you been on a sunbed whilst pregnant?

I got on holiday next week and I just wanted to get my skin use to the heat before I went! No where on line says that you shouldn't use some beds but it also doesn't say you should of that makes sense.

No I haven’t but I’m pretty sure it’s a no go as the UV lights are so much stronger than natural sunlight. I think the issue is with baby potentially overheating. I would avoid it if I were you. Are you in the UK? It’s lovely here at the moment (depending where you are) and I’ve been out in the sun every day! I’d try and do it naturally if you can xx

To be honest u shouldn’t use sun beds full stop they are so dangerous. When I went on my baby moon I stayed in the shade and wore some fake tan. Baby can overheat easily otherwise x

Thanks guys , yes in the UK so will try and do it naturally xx

I’ve been putting a white pillow case over my belly when sunbathing and it’s kept the bump nice and cool, although I am several different shades of tan now lol x

Yes I have been, just need to be tuned into your body. I’ve gone for 6 mins a couple times a week but not while we’ve had nice weather here. Ive not been on longer than 6 mins and used the ‘weakest’ bed. Sun is literally a life source and unfortunately we get deprived in the UK but at the moment I’d make the most of natural sunlight if you can 🌷💗

Sun beds are not safe for the baby. Please go get some sun naturally or use self tan.

I have never been in a tanning bed a day in my life bt I have alot of white friends who like to tan cuz they hate their pale skin & from what I’ve heard it’s not good for u, so I can’t imagine it would be safe for baby X I wouldn’t do it if I was u. If u are self conscious abt ur skin & u want a little bit of color I would suggest getting a self tanning lotion or a bronzer bt please stay away from tanning beds
