The repetition was driving me mad but I've found building a routine around it has actually hugely helped...we go lazy morning, then after late morning feed do outside time /dog walk, then lunch and nap time for all of us, then "afternoon chore" and that usually takes us until Daddy is home to take over! Also OH has a part of the routine (after work cuddle, late evening feed so I can prep for bed) and it really works for making it all seem like we're getting somewhere each day
Also the routine is flexible enough if, like today, she decides she wants to cuddle and eat all day 🙃 so we did lazy afternoon on the sofa cuddling and watching terrible television while I did life admin on my phone!
I’ve got a toddler (2.5) so feel like I’ve had to carry on with normal life around the newborn pattern. Today we were out for most of the day and baby just slept in their pram for most of it. I fitted in the feeds and nappy changes whilst out, but it did mean I felt like I achieved something with my day. Looking forward to a lazy day at home tomorrow though!
The repetition kills me. Last night we started bedtime at 7. Change, feed, change, feed, sleep didn’t actually get her in the next to me until 8:30 because each step took so long and repeated 1000 times 😂😂😂. An entire week has passed that she’s been here already….. and what have we done? Nothing but those steps 😂
