My 13 week old HATES the bath. We wash her hair first before putting her into the bath as she doesn’t mind that part.
We’ve resorted to washing her hair and all her folds (neck, armpits etc) before we put her into the water. We’ve tried making the water warmer and cooler, we’ve tried splashing/pouring a bit of the water onto her first so it doesn’t shock her. We’ve tried putting her feet first. We’ve tried pretty much everything but she literally will cry like she’s in pain once any part of her body goes into the water.
Literally don’t know what I can do anymore! Any one have any tips or share their experience, I would appreciate that! X

My baby hated baths because we did the bath bottle bed routine. But we changed it to bottle and then bath at the second to last feed and then bottle and bed at the last feed. If that makes sense?
Since we changed it to that he doesn’t mind baths atall! I think the bottle must just relax him
Is the bath warm enough and are you using enough water? We didn’t on our little baby tub and he used to cry!
Same with mine! Only way we can make it sort of work is if I hold LO ( ie get in bath with her) and have her black and white cards stuck to the wall where she can see, and a watering can she likes. Her dad has to wash her while I hold her.
LO still cries but it’s less of a terrified shriek and more like she’s telling us she doesn’t like it. She’s also calm when she comes out now which she wasn’t before.
i use a baby bath, so when i put the baby bath inside the bath and bath her there i notice my daughter cries and cries but when i put the bath in my bedroom and i sit on the floor and bath her there she doesn’t cry she loves it😂weird but maybe try bathing her in a different room😂also i wrap her in a muslin cloth and her arms so she feels abit more secure otherwise she’ll flap her arms out and she’ll cry i guess it feels like being in the womb 🤷🏽♀️xx
my daughter is 4 months next week x
