@Holley I’ve heard of people using formula to do it, it’s not replacing baby’s feed so shouldn’t hurt them!
@Holley Thank you! I’ve seen it on tik tok but wasn’t sure if it was actually ok to do haha
@Kayleigh this has reminded me I have one of these buried away somewhere!
Breast milk is something like 85% water in composition. Provided you aren’t adding water to it then it’s fine to freeze and feed your baby! No different to having a stash of frozen breast milk in bags in the freezer 😊
@Kayleigh oh ok I was told you weren't allowed to freeze formula as it causes problems with it. I can't breastfeed so don't have another option until little one is on solids not that we're far off he tried to steal my breakfast this morning
@Kayleigh that's what I meant but dummy shaped things but my tired hot brain couldn't articulate 😂
Yeah you can do that x
@Holley I believe it’s because when you freeze formula it looses some of its nutrients, but since it wouldn’t be replacing feeds it would be okay, I did it with my middle child when he was around 4 months old and he was fine, but at the time when he was 4 months he was starting purées from the guidance of paediatric dietitians😅 my little one was trying to steal my burger yesterday it was hilarious😂
@Kayleigh oh I see! You can see my brain really isn't working today 😂😂 he was trying to get at my strawberries and even snatched one long enough for a lick. Hes not completely there on sitting up yet so trying to hold off a little longer
Oh that's a good idea if you can do it! I think you can Ive seen people with these dummy shaped things with fruit and breast milk in it as a teether. Shame you can't freeze formula otherwise I would try that
