ovarian cyst during pregnancy

I’ve had a cyst but never needed any treatment as it was small and disappeared itself

They just monitored mine during pregnancy and it disappeared by birth

I had a 5cm cyst picked up at 8 weeks and on my 12 week scans, there was no mention at my 20 week scan but we were a bit concerned about her heart in that appointment so it overtook monitoring the cyst, will ask them at the next growth scan if it’s visible still or not maybe they will deal with it the same time as my c section if it hasn’t gone on its own by then 🙂

@Ellie did you have a natural birth or do they advise a c section

Vaginal birth

Ovarian cysts are pretty normal, my obstetrician said most women can develop them due to ovulation and never know. I had a pretty big one that they monitored until they couldn’t really see it anymore. During my caesarean they cauterised it and job done. Didn’t affect the pregnancy or birth.

@Sarah did you have a planned caesarean or is it advised due to cysts ?
