Mam Bottles

Anyone else’s Mam Bottle bottom bit melting when sterilising? I’m doing everything right! Anyone know where I could buy just the bottom bit before I have to buy new ones? 😩

I do mine in the microwave and I think you can buy them on their website

How are you sterilising? I use a steam sterliser and have no problems so far, I do descale it once a week (even though it says once a month on the instructions)

Do you have the self-sterilising ones? Is it possible that your microwave’s set too high in terms of wattage? If not then I would honestly write to them to ask about this issue as it makes them unsafe if they melt 🤔.

Also I have them too and they’ve never melted, I use the microwave method

Self sterilising in the microwave and mine haven't melted. What's sterilising method are you using? X

We use a steam Steriliser and as others have said, no issues here. Were they second hand or new? How are you sterilising currently?

@Kimberley I’m using the self sterilising method in the microwave. Follow the manufacturer guidelines x

@Jenny they are new bottles that I’ve been using since my LO was born. Self sterilise one the microwave following the manufacturers guidelines

@Ewa I do have the self sterilising bottles, and follow their method and microwave is the right wattage

@Claire I do the same and follow their method, I’ve checked their website and can’t see them 🤷🏻‍♀️

@Jess I’m sterilising them in the microwave following their method, maybe should invest in a steam sterliser!

I found that it depends on how many you’re putting in. It’s best to only do 2/3 at a time or it’s too high and melts them. This time around I’ve gone for the Milton cold water steriliser instead of doing in the microwave as I found the bottles deteriorated really quick x
