My lo will sometimes use the dummy and sometimes hates it. I’m thinking of removing it before he becomes dependant as I’d rather he didn’t have it. I’m just unsure of how I’d then settle without it as my first born always had a dummy. Those who don’t use dummies, what do you do to help settle??

To be honest our first child could take or leave it and once he found his fingers he'd refuse a dummy and suck those instead so we got rid of it naturally at 3 months old. Our little girl is the same in that she can do without it but it does settle her sometimes so I'm not too worried
This is the problem I’m having. Though our boy is a 50/50 taker of it. Most the time he doesn’t need it but when he’s having trouble to get off to sleep and overtired or a colic moment and I have to rock him, it comes in handy but any other time he will point blank refuse it.
So I think I’ll still keep it just for those moments x
