I gave birth to my son on 22nd April and have noticed increased pressure downstairs. It’s particularly intense when I’m sat on the toilet or if I’ve been walking for a while. Has anyone else experienced this? I realise I’m only 11 days pp so perhaps I just need to rest a little more?

Learn more about our guidelines.I gave birth on the 23rd and it’s the exact same for me. It’s always when I’m sat on the toilet, I have to lean forward to relief the pressure and when I’ve been walking for ages too, you definitely have to stay bed ridden for a while. I also take ibuprofen and that’s been helping immensely. Today the pressure wasn’t so bad but again, that’s from just staying in bed most the time, I walked for a while three times and after that, I learned my lesson 😂
@Janel yes! I have to lean forward on the toilet too! I will most definitely rest a little more as the pain today was something else!!
I had my little one on 17th and had the same pressure and tenderness on my stitches after being more active, but it has been a lot better the past 2 days. Make sure you listen to your body and rest when you need too x
Hey could it be your pelvic floor? Try doing extra pelvic floor exercises xx
@Jessica my girl was born the 17th too x
