These are fantastic for the early days, used them first time round and will be again this time https://mumbubhub.co.uk/products/brief-style-maternity-pads?utm_term=&utm_campaign=UK-gs-origianl&utm_source=google&utm_medium=smart_campaign&hsa_acc=7675103505&hsa_cam=15159381085&hsa_grp=&hsa_ad=&hsa_src=x&hsa_tgt=&hsa_kw=&hsa_mt=&hsa_net=adwords&hsa_ver=3&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAAC_GfMl6Tse-D3IpF6ZuRzUS2bAMm&gclid=CjwKCAjw--K_BhB5EiwAuwYoyjTUXAJ6AuDNywChAi7KYW8REOC8a2kuyHX1k9frvDq51H5UuHjwChoCrHMQAvD_BwE
Depends adult diapers are the best. I wore them a little longer than I probably should have with my first lol.
@Lucy do they sit high enough to not irritate a c section wound.
Adult diapers for the first week of pp is my recommendation. Then I switched to Lansinoh pads (they are quite big) I bought on Amazon.
I used Tesco own brand maternity pads and was happy with them
Thanks all! I’ll be using the kickers for the first week or so then I’ll move to a pad as the price of the knickers have nearly doubled! 😅😫 xxx
I've bought lilets Maternity pads. Heard lots of good things about them for postpartum.
Lillets are amazing
@Madeleine sorry to jump on your comment, how ling do you think these last per wear? I know it’s dependant on each woman etc but assume similar To a pad? X
Second vote for the Amazon Abena pads. Just make sure you’ve got some ultra sexy (not in the least) slightly oversized high legs knickers to wear them with
Tesco maternity pads are good, I still use them for periods now
@Elisha absolutely, I had an emergency C-section last time and this were great, no irritation on the scar and very comfy 😊
@Jade gosh it’s so hard to tell, but they’re actually designed to hold pretty much an entire bladder of urine and if you lost that in blood you’d be going straight back to hospital so technically it should be quite long! Although PP blood is thicker so that’s something to consider. They have elastic that holds the sides up to prevent leaks (almost like a nappy) which I think is good! Either way pants over pods, I’m a convert
@Madeleine I’m so investing in these! I always looked but never thought to get them!!
Get knickers so you don’t risk ruining your own underwear. I used the Tena pants last time and will do it again
