Anyone else’s baby always have the hiccups and they sound really deep?! My 6 week old has them at least 3 times a day and he’s started spitting up a lot of baby sick about once a day too, sometimes when he has hiccups and sometimes when he doesn’t. He’s not in discomfort when he spits up but it’s 3-4 big spit ups and looks like a lot of sick. He just gets a bit aggy when he has hiccups for a while sometimes.
Just wondering if this is reflux or not? Or if anyone’s baby is the same? I’m breastfeeding too x

My Daughter is the same! It's really strange actually. She's 5 weeks today, gets hiccups several times a day and is breastfed. I always feel bad for her cos think they must hurt her and she's so small bless her. Apparently it's normal 🤷🏼 My others weren't like it though x
Ah so good to hear someone else’s little one is the same!! I feel so bad for him because the hiccups sound so deep and they must be uncomfortable! And then the spitting up has gotten way more the last few days too and I feel so bad for him!! Just rang my health visitor and she just said that it does sound quite like reflux and to make sure to always burp him a few times every feed, and keep him upright for 15 mins after feeding, and that reflux does eventually go. But I already do all those things!!
My little girl is the same. She's 2 weeks and has them a few times a day. I sit her up and actually found yesterday that using a dummy helps. It apparently relaxes the diaphragm. It did seem to stop them pretty quickly, so will be trying that again today x
Mine the same! 5 weeks tomorrow!
Mines the same, 4 weeks old and often has hiccups that sound really intense! I normally just sit her up and rub her back, and give her her dummy, tends to help! I do feel so bad for her though, as sometimes hiccups can be so uncomfortable/painful for us as adults! x
Mines the same and apparently it is very normal at this age I was told, especially the hiccups x
