I'm currently 7 weeks 4 days pregnant with my second baby and I've not heard from my local midwife team about an appointment. With my first I had an appointment booked it for 8 weeks. Is anyone else still waiting to hear from them? Should I resubmit my maternity care? Should I call them?

@Kim I referred myself 2 weeks ago and not heard anything
@Kim I’m also 9 & a half weeks by time I see them 5th June
There should be a number on the email you received after referring yourself, call that number. They are probably behind
Just checked the email and it said they don't aim to make contact till 10 weeks to book in for any appointments 😶 I feel like this is too late and with the complications I had with my first I feel like I want to be seen sooner than 10 weeks
Just had an email through will my first midwife appointment booked in for next Thursday
I didn’t have my first one till 9-10 weeks so it does seem like it varies - but you should at least know when your appointment is, so it’s good that you now do! Xx
@Ash B it shocked me in took 2 weeks to get the appointment but at least I've got it now. I'll be 8 weeks 6 days for it so only just 😅
9 weeks this time in West Yorkshire, it was 7 last time for me in South Yorkshire x
I self referred 3 weeks ago and heard from my midwife today depending on the trust you can be waiting until up to 11 weeks. If you don’t hear from anyone by 9 weeks I’d give them a little nudge xx
@Michaela I've heard back now thankfully. I'm still under the same region of hospitals ( they're all connected and often share Dr's) which is mostly why I was so shocked about not hearing anything from anyone
I had a midwife come to my house this time at 8 weeks. Took all my history/BP. Then next will be my 12 week scan - I’m in Wales x
@Natalie I'm surprised they came to you. I have to travel and hour to get to my appointment. I'm hoping to change it to home visit appointments as I currently don't drive and would rather spend that hour doing other things rather than traveling
This is my third pregnancy and it’s the first time they’ve came - the previous 2 were over the phone (was just after covid). An hour is crazy? X
@Natalie with my first I had to go to the GP for my appointments then the hospital for a few too. They were 20-30 min trips so not far at all. I'm dreading the hour treck and really hope there's an option for home visits
