Learn more about our guidelines. It took me quite some time to adjust to Lexapro, I was on low-dose for a while and was also afraid to bump up the dosage… For me personally my body, I did not like the way that medication made me feel with a higher dosage on Lexapro. I stopped taking it...Sometimes you have to go through multiple medications to find the one that works for you, I have been on for one year now 225 mg of venlafaxine, the more I increased the dosage on this prescription it didn't make me feel the way Lexapro did so I felt confident in upping it. My sister-in-law takes Lexapro. She has no problem with her increases dosage and it's the only medication that has worked for her… No matter what you're on it's scary to up the dosage, if you feel like maybe you should start at 15. Give yourself a couple weeks for your body to adjust. See how you feel about that level of dosage and take it from there. In no way shape or form am I giving any sort of medical advice (no one come for me im just stating my experience)
Maybe talk to your provider and let them know your apprehensions on going on a higher dose that 10 mg may need to be adjusted and see what they advise for you to do!! it's OK to be scared. I hated how many trial and errors I had to go through before finding the one that I'm on now, when you're taking something that's a mood stabilizer or something that Neuro transmits for your serotonin and such it's scary to think how you're messing with it and how your body will react. Your best bet is to disclose to your physician how you're feeling and be completely honest with them
Thank you so much for your comment, yes, I was doing so fine when I started my foggy symptoms, went away and just a week ago I started feeling just not myself again , i’m gonna have to talk to my doctor, to see what we could do , it’s more my anxiety that is taking over me
That's the worst, having anxiety over something that should be helping you to minimalize those feelings it's definitely not worth it. I would absolutely make an appointment with your provider🖤
I started off on 10mg myself, then eventually bumped up to 20mg and that's where I currently am. Definitely talk with your doctor about it 🫶
Try smth more natural
I just got off my medication, paxil i was on for 10 years. If you're feeling that bad id up the dose.
@Leyla ant advice on natural mood stabilisers? I'm far too anxious to take anything from pharma
I would mention it to your doctor but keep trying that dose for a little longer. It takes your body time to adjust to it. I tried upping my dose thinking it would help & it had the opposite effect.
