Been back at work for 6 months now and into a really good groove of pumping at work by using the wellness room.
There’s a fridge and sink and it’s great.
It’s not a room reserved for pumping so other people can use the space, which is normally fine except lately.
Last 2 times I’ve been at the office I’m ready to leave for the day and when I go to get my bag from the fridge, the room is in use. 1 time I waited over an hour. This time I’m sitting here and it’s been about 30 min.
It’s a wellness room again so trying to gauge what the proper etiquette is for waiting / is it okay to knock?
Should I just be leaving a little sticky note in there every time I’m at the office to let them know typically when I need the room maybe with my phone number?
What’s protocol here?

Learn more about our guidelines.I have not run into this issue yet at my office but I'm sure the day is coming. I think I would just knock in this instance and then if you know you will need in there at a certain time leaving a note would be super considerate. Then they would know they either need to not be in there or expect you to come knocking at that time. I don't think it's fair for them to expect you to wait for so long.
Also, so nice to have a sink in there!! I'm always running to and from the bathroom washing pump parts
