Hello, I know this is controversial but was wondering on thoughts on supervised Tummy time naps. I know it was something practiced the generation before and is not recommended at all. My newborn is 4 weeks and I realize she sleeps way better, not startling herself when she's transferred from my arm to her nap area on her Tummy. She is supervised and we have her sleep on her back during the night since we can't monitor then. I know SIDS and suffocation is a big thing but my baby sleeps on her Tummy, with her face to the side, breathing well. How, if it does, SIDS/ suffocation pose a threat?

Learn more about our guidelines.The thing w SIDS is that it’s unpredictable, now with suffocation if you’re ALWAYS watching her then I see no problem and even less because you are aware of it. You do what works best for you and your baby because I know the opinions abt SIDS can be harsh :/
@Paola Santoyo Rosales thank you! Yes I need to also remember that SIDS does not equal suffocation and that it's very unknown in causes. Thank you for just being nice about it and sharing your thoughts!
@Bern no problem 🤗
