Omeprazole and Gaviscon - really bad reflux

Has anyone else's baby been on both omeprazole and Gaviscon? We have spent the day in hospital with our 7 week old who cannot keep anything down. He's on Neocate and was not able to hold down anything and they diagnosed a tummy bug plus really really bad reflux! So he was already on gaviscon and now adding omeprazole to the medication too. Both his dad and I get acid reflux and go through a lot of gaviscon tablets so he's not got much luck there genetically! Just looking for stories of babies who grew out of reflux (please give me hope!)
