Has anyone delivered at Anne Arundel Medical Center?

Has anyone received their pregnancy care through Luminis Health, particularly to deliver at Anne Arundel Medical Center? If so, how soon do they take people for their first pregnancy/confirmation appointment? I know most places are 7-8 weeks, maybe as early as 6 weeks. And what was your overall experience with Luminis/Anne Arundel?

Thank you so much for sharing! I've noticed the same thing regarding how difficult it is to reach the front desk which was also the case with Medstar who I was with for my first pregnancy.

So far, I've had my well woman's appointment with Luminis in March and the appointment itself went well. But definitely want to make sure I know what to expect with them during pregnancy.

I'm sorry for the challenges you had with them, but glad you had a pleasant experience at the hospital!

I did, my LO was born on April 4th. It’s hard to answer the appointment question, because every provider has their own policies. I was being treated by Women’s OBGYN PA, and they deliver at the Anne Arundel Medical Center. I was seen by them starting at my first pregnancy positive, but that was bc I was pregnant through IVF.

My experience delivering at the medical center was mostly good. Delivery staff was amazing. Once you’re transferred to the mother/baby ward, you’ll notice that the rooms are comically small. I think that wing of the hospital is a little older because it looks like it was built in the 80s.

My biggest piece of advice is the request (or demand) a corner room. Those are significantly bigger and you’ll be much more comfortable. Also…. Avoid the lactation consultants like the plague. I’m not kidding, they were absolutely terrible and one even had me in tears. The advice and help I got from the nursing staff was much more useful and less stressful.

Reduced Movements

Has anyone else gone in for monitoring for reduced movements and as soon as you arrive at triage the baby starts moving and the CTG is normal? It makes me feel like I am over reacting.

Hospital bag (UK)

What did everyone pack for their section? I'm staying in for 3 days due to mental health, not really sure what I'll need to bring, feeling very nervous. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Pregnancy after c section

What time scale did everyone get pregnant again after a c section?
I know the doc said they recommend eating at least a year to 18 months but it took 4 years to get pregnant the first time after being told we could not conceive naturally so not wanting to stop it happening knowing it could take a very long time again but also worried.

Labour

Think im a bit confused really, i went into traige as was having contractions eveey 3-5mins. Since being here im now having them every 2-3mins which was confirmed with the machine and i think the toco was 90-100 and they feel painful and my lower back is in loads of pain but apparently im only just over 2cm dilated maybe, she has said i can stay here for a bit longer to see if things progress as had a previous quick birth as well but i dont understand why the pains are coming this quick if im only 2cm dilated and feel a bit deflated from it also.

I had a sweep this morning also.

Newborn stage

Is anyone tired of doing the same thing everyday and being on a 2-3 hour schedule? It’s the same everyday and I feel like I’m losing my mind. It’s making me depressed even if I get out once a day. When does it get better? I feel like I’m just waiting for the next stage where it’s not just sitting around all day.
