Were you on any medications or unwell at all while you were pregnant? Sometimes that can cause teeth to be darker in colour
Did you take any antibiotics when pregnant? Apparently, it can cause it. Hoping not always though as I had to have lots
I’ve read that some babies teeth can do this if mum had multiple doses of antibiotics while pregnant or if baby suffered from significant jaundice after birth as well as genetic factors
My little ones are like this. (And I’m a dental nurse) it’s awful. They put it down to him being on antibiotics as he had sepsis when little. It looks like tartar, don’t worry too much just keep up with good brushing 🙂
My little one had it - we started using tooth paste for 3-5 - use an electric brush and he now lets us brush great. I think the older tooth paste has really helped
Are you brushing?
Just bear in mind as well that our teeth aren't white white but more a cream colour. Is it potential staining from foods/drinks?
Should be using fluoride
@Rebekah no medication other than aspirin :(
@Robyn I didn't no, I read the same thing!
@Marina yes twice a day!
@Nire I may not brush as much in a circler motion, so that could be shout! I do try to do all angles (especially to reach the gumline)
@Cassie the toothpaste we use is Aquafresh 0-2 which has fluoride in it.
@Jade this is reassuring, I didn't think to invest in an electric! Has the staining gone down at all using the older toothpaste/electric toothpaste brush or just stopped it getting worse?

@Kirsty the only thing i can think of is fruit, as she does have a lot of it. But I thought that would be more acid erosion rather than staining. She hardly ever has juice, like a treat at a meal out sort of thing.
I know it can be hard with young babies/toddlers but are you brushing in a circular motion rather than just left and right? When I do my sons I do it in a circular motion and it brushes his gum line too x
