Cheap or no?

Is a $25 gift card gonna come across as cheap for a teacher appreciation gift? We’re on a budget and I know that some parents are probably doing a lot more than that but we just can’t right now 🥹

As a teacher who never got anything from her students, any gift is appreciated.

That’s more than generous! You’re a sweetheart

@Abby💖 teachers take what they can get honestly. With our salaries that are below what they should be for all the work we do, anything extra we get is appreciated.

I’ve gotten $5 and been super grateful! $25 would be a dream.

@Daija exactly. We take what we get.

As a teacher, any amount is awesome. Being recognized is the best - whether it’s $5 or $50.

Personally I wouldn't be comfortable giving a teacher more, I'd feel like trying to bribe them!

$25 gift card is so kind. I’ve gotten that before & I was so grateful. I’ve also gotten $5 gift cards, both are thoughtful! & any gift is appreciated.

As a teacher, that is more than enough and will be so appreciated! Most parents do nothing.

Former teacher and I would have been happy with $5 back then 🙏

That is a lot actually.

$25 is good 😊

Echoing everyone else, all gifts are appreciated! When I taught, I really just loved that I was thought of, regardless of what the gift was!

Do the gift card and have your kid write a nice letter telling them how much they appreciate them. Honestly most parents bake cookies, or bring in like a $10 Starbucks gift card. My favorite this year was a potted petunia flower and a note saying thank you.
