Baby sniffles

Hey guys, I believe my 9 week old is possibly at the start of having a slight cold or summer sniffles. He’s quite a tough cookie but is there anything in particular I can get that I use to help if he does get worse. Rubs, bubble baths etc or just tips in general would be much appreciated xx

If he has a blocked nose, saline spray is great to help clear it as can be used from birth x

Saline spray, snot sucker, calpol, when they reach 3 months then there are rubs and bubble baths they can use! X

For congestion I do - shower on hot to steam bathroom and eucalyptus spray - saline spray - sit in steamy bathroom for 10mins - cool down shower to comfortable temp and have a shower with them (or give them a bath) - another saline spray - massage/rubs/dress - nasal aspirator Humidifier, eucalyptus spray in rooms where they are throughout the day. I also do smaller more frequent breastfeeds (just because she has troubles having a full feed especially if she’s congested) and paracetamol if they’re able to have it

I had a very poorly 4 week old; how I helped her was saline nasal spray (before feeding, before bed and whenever she really needed it) - I also popped her in her swing while a hot shower was running so all the steam unblocked mucus! A snot sucker is also a must! Hope he’s better soon!! Xxx
