Golding Homes/Kent home choice
Looking for advice! Not baby related. I’ve been on bidding for social place for 18 months for a second bedroom with my toddler. I went to view a 2 bedroom flat today in Maidstone, I wasn’t expecting to get it as I was number 5 on the shortlist… looking at the gas inspection it’s been empty over 5 months. when I viewed they had white washed and freshly painted only one bedroom which I find very odd as they told me it’s not their policy to paint and a separate company would supply the paint at sign up. I also noticed mould in a storage cupboard & air fresheners all around the kitchen and condensation on the windows, and a big swarm of flies on the balcony all red flags, I’ve obviously rejected the property after getting sus that there’s been a mould problem in there that they are trying to cover up and I find it disgusting that they are actively trying to let the property and disguise the mould issue. For reference this was Golding Homes. I’m just looking for advice really, does anyone know where I stand with the council? Will they put me to the bottom of the list? I didn’t take photos of the mould but the lady did. I’m not in a rush to move out of my current property as it’s lovely, also looking to make a complaint if I can? I wouldn’t want anyone living in that property it’s not fit for purpose!
Thanks for reading :)))))
Unfortunately sounds about right for Golding homes. Of u go onto google and type in Golding home complaints it should take you to a form you can fill out. Also report to housing and health as well as local MP. That was the only way I managed to get a response from them that was actually useful. Good luck with your house hunting x
