Car seat

How long are you leaving baby in car seat now ? When we left the nicu with her we were told no longer than 45 minutes. Her head/neck control is coming along now, can I leave her longer ? I’m planning on traveling 3 hours in 2/3 weeks and wanting to know how after I should stop with her Thank you

My midwife said no longer than 2 hours. I travel back and forth to Cardiff which is 3 hours. Usually stop at the services after 1hr 30 for about 20-30 mins and then continue x

i think it's advised to get them out of the car seat every 90 minutes until they're older than 6 months. X

This age I’m sure it’s 2 hours however.. My parents are 3 hours away from me and I do that journey in a oner so he’s in the car seat longer. I also done the same with my daughter and they’ve both been fine. I have a mirror for when they’ve been in the back and sometimes will have them in the front with me so they’re always supervised x

I believe it’s 2 hours, however both my girls have been in the car seat for 3 hours straight when traveling to holiday and they have been fine. One of us sits in the back with them while we go as it is a long drive than normal. If no one can sit in the back you can get a camera off Amazon that I highly recommend encase you are worried. We also bought the puggle 360 car seats that recline to make it more comfortable for the travel x

@Kell🌸 how do you find the car seat ? I’ve been looking at it as we have the puggle system and it’s a pain plugging her in

@Beth we love them, we have 3 in total, 2 for my girls and 1 at the grandparents as they help with the nursery run sometimes. Both my girls were premature and the insert that comes with it was amazing. One of the first things we bought after they were born x

I’d do 1.5 hours Stop for at least 30-60 mins Then 1.5 hours

We have the Cybex cloud T, it reclines so we have left our 3 month old in a little longer than 2 hours and he has been fine, we use a mirror in the back to keep an eye on him or one of us sits in the back.
