Your not alone when I had my son which was my first baby I had horrible thoughts of throwing him at the wall or had thoughts of shaking him and I couldn’t believe I was having those thoughts but unfortunately it’s very normal. Just know that you wouldn’t act on those thoughts and you will be okay love your baby as much as possible
One thing that can sometimes help is to think of a different version of the dream that isn't distressing. So for example if the dream is that she's falling down the stairs, imagine that she's rolling gently down stairs made of clouds or cotton candy or whatever you'd like. Then repeat that to yourself, like play a little mental movie of it when you're feeling that anxiety. Just like the same way you're doing the positive mantras, but you're adding a visual element to it to counter the visual element of the dream
@Stacy thanks, I really like this
Yes! I had a dream last night that my 3 month old stood up in his bassinet and purposely jumped out like he was doing a belly flop in a pool 😩
Are you in therapy? I get scary thoughts too sometimes and therapy helps
