Breastfed babies - how often are feeds

I’m the same, my LO is 4 and a half months and feeding every 2.5 hours during the day. She used to do slightly longer stretches at night but now she’s back to waking every couple hours!

My boy is still feeding every 1.5 - 2 hours! Sometimes when he is distracted and/or we are out of the house it can stretch to 3+ hrs but I would say that is the exception. I am trying to make him feed for a bit longer and keep him awake, as I think the problem I have is that he tends to snooze straight after a feed, even if just for 5 minutes. Hopefully they will both go longer between feeds soon! 🙏 Xx

Mines around 2-2.5 during the day, if we are out it might stretch to 3-3.5 if we are out and she has had a nap in the pram x

@Michelle Mine is the same! He went through a nursing strike a couple of weeks back but now he can’t get enough 😨

Sometimes mine feeds every hour, sometimes he’ll go 3 hours! The longest stretch is at the beginning of the night where he can go 4-5hrs without xx

My daughter feeds every 1.5 - 2 hours during the day, sometimes more regularly and does longer stretches through the night of maybe 3/4 hours. Breastfed babies don’t tend to go 3-4 hours during the day for a long time. With my son he was still nursing every 2 or so hours at 1 years old along with 3 meals a day. Breastmilk is digested completely by around 1.5/2 hours so it’s totally normal and expected that they’ll want milk very regularly.
