What is your goal with pumping? Will you be wanting to give bottles of expressed milk, or build a freezer stash for going back to work in the future? It’s a common misconception that pumping is necessary for EBF, products and pump recommendations will depend on your situation if that makes sense xx

Not a pump recommendation, but i would 100% recommend getting reusable breastpads! They were a life saver for me

Collection cups so you don't waste any milk in pads. Also the first 3 months is oversupply. Then boobs regulate I didn't know this or eat enough and milk was gone at 3 months. Day 3 when your milk comes in youre going to wake with hard boobs. Hand express to release just enough for comfort and that gets some of the initial spray out so baby doesn't choke and gag. As baby gets older they get better with the gaging. I have elastic nipples so pumps aren't great for me. Don't want the pump. Stress of how much you are producing will cause less milk. Don't fall for the formula top up trap. Feed baby on demade and follow baby's lead you've got this. I'm also due in October. Message me if you'd like.

2nd time breastfeeding mom here! I just had my 2nd baby this year in Feb and he is also EBF just like my first was. So first week you will probably not produce much since all you will have is colostrum but once you notice your milk start to transition into mature milk(white/blue milk…basically not yellow any more) thats when I would start pumping. Also be gentle with the pumping! you dont want to make your breast believe that you need more milk since in the beginning you already produce a lotttt of milk, you dont want to get engorged more than you need to. Also not to frighten you but there will be some pain included with first time breastfeeding 😟 lots of trial and error but just stick to it if its really what you want to do! try not to stress yourself out about it and remember your body is biologically made for this! you got this girl☺️
