Ferritin

My ferritin was low - only 12, they tend to not worry unless your Hb is low as well!

@Maddie Ow …. Do you feel dizziness or any other symptoms with low ferritin ?

@Valeri my only symptoms were dizziness and tiredness!

@Maddie why they don’t prescribe a ferritin :(

They prescribed me iron. Are you taking any iron supplements? If no, try having a sachet of Spatone (liquid iron, can get on Amazon) in some orange juice every morning x

@Maddie I’m taking vitamins . They have included iron . But the iron is lower than I used to have before. Perhaps, I should ask the doctor again .

I get dizzy too! .

I was feeling really rubish and they said my iron was fine at my 12 week scan , but I pushed for a test and stores ( Ferritin) was low but above the lowest , just above and she prescribed me iron and it’s been two weeks and I feel a lot better . I believe if your really low you need a stronger dose then the prenatal ect to get your levels back up. Have a chat with them .

I see the range from 10 to 120 Mine is 30 . Usually I have 50+( but I made the previous test a few years ago ) And the doctor doesn’t call me that’s on theirs language meaning “you are okay”
