Inflamed stretchmarks

Some of my stretch marks have been like this for about a week now and I can not tell you how itchy and irritated they are! Is anyone else experiencing this? Is it swelling from over stretching? Some sort of reaction? Anyone got any idea? I don't want to call anyone incase it is nothing but it's soooooo itchy!!!

Maybe PUPPPS rash… I had it horribly over my entire body with my first pregnancy. Started for me at 37 weeks just around my belly, then spread everywhere. The worst itch I’ve had in my entire life.. indescribable. No creams helped, Benadryl helped just long enough for me to get a few hours of sleep. I hope that’s not the case for you😣

@Amanda omgosh bless your heart, that sounds like a nightmare! I am itchy all over but it's not constant atm and I don't have a rash anywhere else yet, I've been shrugging it off as it probably being the heat but I'm questioning now, with that pupps rash was it a midwife job or just have to deal with it? Questioning if I should give them a call now x

It looks like it's heat affecting it, sweat. Try powder to dry it out so it's less sore. I have old stretch marks (not from pregnancy) that flare up in the summer I gotta put talc on it to soothe it, this may or may not help you but it helped me. Mine get seriously itchy and sore and they go from silver to red raw :/ with like bumps like yours but yours don't look as bad as mine have been tbf!

And if it's not heat/sweat maybe you're clothes are rubbing against it? Try wear airy things if you can x

Yes, looks like Puppps. My body was on fire. Started on my bump, then thighs, legs. Only thing that eased the itching was wearing nothing but an oversized t shirt/dress. Rubbing Dermacool all over (Menthol in Aqueous Cream) My consultant prescribed antihistamine It disappears after birth.

My doctor didn’t seem very familiar with Puppps, she kept saying she hadn’t seen anything like it and she tested me for cholestasis at first, although that’s not usually a full body rash, usually just on the hands and feet, so that was negative. It’s not harmful to you or baby though and from what I read on my own.. it just goes away after birth and you use topical creams to soothe it.
