Yes 8 weeks it’s just things like watching leaves on the tree blow or making faces at her
Find something that you like to do and take the baby. As others say the London parks can be really nice just to bring a picnic rug and sit under a tree. I also too mine to some art galleries as a baby and it was quite good. Some galleries have baby areas (eg tate modern) to put babies down for some floor time, but 8 weeks is pretty young so that might be better once they start to sit and crawl.
If you get off at Queensway on central line, opposite is Kensington gardens and the princess Diana memorial playground. It’s really good and only for people with children (it’s gated with someone on the gate buzzing you in and making sure children dont leave unattended) taken our 3 year old daughter and our son in the carrier when he was approx 7 weeks old. The London eye on a weekday morning is a good one for when they’re toddling around as it’s a contained space. Then the aquarium is next to it Not sure if it’s still there, but there’s bubble planet in Wembley. That was really good but we went over a year ago so not sure it’s still there. There’s the Diana fountain on a hot day for paddling in
Another one that’s not central London but outskirts is Ruislip lido. Wouldn’t recommend on hot weekends or school holidays as it gets absolutely rammed. But it’s a man made beach and lake with a steam train (hols and weekdays only), playground, woodland walk, kids splash pad, cafe and pub carvery place. If you go here dont paddle or swim in the water as you can get really ill from it. There are red flags and warnings but people seem to ignore them. There’s also northala hills which are 4 man made hills made out of the old Wembley stadium turned into a country park. Nearest tube is Northolt. This one doesn’t have much shade so bear this in mind for which parts of the day you would go.
Thank you girls your suggestions have really helped. First time mum here so I was just worried I’m not doing enough activities with her as we live in a small flat and wanting to get out more. For now I’m just taking her for walks, doing tummy time and she has a play mat xx
Honestly, at that age, it's more sensory things. So the aquarium, the park etc will be great
