Reflux - help

Looking for advice/tips! My LO is 2 weeks old and has been vomiting up entire feeds the last 3 days, she’s exclusively breast fed. got her checked out and apparently it’s just reflux. I’m burping her during and after feeds and trying to keep her upright after a feed for at least 20 minutes. After she vomits she’s hungry again. I’ve tried laid back breastfeeding but can’t get her to latch. Partner goes back to work Monday, won’t be able to deal with it on my own all day and then all night. Feels like everything is covered in milk and she’s running out of clothes. Please help!

No advice but just to say me too! :( doctors have said the same and we’re doing the same - it’s so frustrating and disheartening :(

Is she putting on weight? I had a condition when I was born, pyloric stenosis, and I threw up everything I ate and wasn't putting on weight. My mum said it started when I was about 10 days old and I had to have a surgery to fix it but it was all good and I have been very healthy since. Maybe worth mentioning it if she throws up everything so they can check her for that, it's a very rare condition x throwing up a bit is normal thoguh

No advice I’m sorry but me too! Sending hugs!

I'm bottle feeding and my little guy has reflux. Its so hard seeing them suffer like this. Have you tried infacol or stuff you can get in shops when babies have reflux? X

@Maria yeah she’s put on 8lbs since birth! So she’s feeding well in between

I was having a similar issue with my LO who is also 2 weeks. My health visitor said that your milk increases around this time and your baby may just be taking too much and then just bringing it back up. She said as long as your baby is gaining weight and is settled after feeds, it’s likely to not be anything to worry about. She also said their stomach is just weak at this moment and around 1 year it should improve! X

I say similar, it’s literally the same, it was only a few days and sometimes still does throw up her feeds. They also said to try and keep her in the same position or up right for a while before putting her down. My lactation consultant also told me that breast fed babies don’t need to be burped
