Losing my mind

Hey! Long post, My son (7) is waiting to be assessed for ADHD and I’m at my wits end most days. Our days start from 5am, he has football x3 times a week as well as other clubs. Today was football which he loves but he didn’t listen to the coach and coach told him he wasn’t allowed to play in the match tomorrow (this is off the back of Thursday training session where he got annoyed and started kicking other kids). This became a full meltdown he started shouting, throwing his water bottle blaming it all on the coach. He is really struggling with regulating his emotions and I feel like I am walking on egg shells most days because anything sets him off. He started play therapy 2 weeks ago which he loves but I feel like the inability to regulate emotions is at its worst - I will speak to his therapist to explore tools to help him but my son is intelligent, he knows what he should be doing to regulate but in the moment he can’t seem to do it and I have to constantly watch him like a hawk everywhere we go where he could potentially be over stimulated birthday parties etc. Any advice welcome! One exhausted mum over here!
