@Magen She has a neurologist who had mentioned ADHD to me but they don’t get tested or diagnosed until the age of 6 so it’s not something that i could do yet im just interested to know when people knew their child aid ADHD and what signs were there
The lack of attention and always moving from one activity to another. But I've also been told some kids just don't do good in school meetings doesn't necessarily mean they have ADHD. My oldest is 21 she has odd and ADHD . My youngest is 4. Needles to say all my kids have ADHD but they also have other disabilities. I have always thought there are more kids diagnosed with ADHD just because. So please be careful and don't let any Dr make you make the decision of putting her on meds IF SHE has it. Make sure you are comfortable with every decision when the time comes ❤️❤️❤️
My son struggled so much in his VPK class. I wish I had known then this was a sign of ADHD. He wouldn’t sit for any learning. He couldn’t grasp the concepts that the other kids were. No organizational skills, always interrupting the teacher, hyperactive and some behavioral issues playing with the other kids. Any time I would go to school for an event when it was time to take a group picture all the kids would be smiling saying cheese and he would be looking around or doing something else instead of looking forward. Every picture is like this 🤪 He was diagnosed at 5 just before he was 6. He ended up being held back in Kindergarten. I wish I had paid more attention because I would have had him do a second year of VPK instead if I had known. Fast forward 10 years and he is still VERY much like this.
@Gretchen my 4 year old is doing another year of vpk only because he still doesn't talk like he should and that's the only reason. I do not see him having ADHD but then again he's not 5. He does have some issues filling direction but I really won't know till after he's 5
@Gretchen This is my daughter at the minute, she’s 3 and she can’t sit still during lesson time, she’s always interrupting people when they’re talking, when you try speak to her it’s almost like she’s just not focusing on what your saying and half way through just starts talking about something else! Her teachers are constantly telling me that they’re having to tell her to sit down and listen, it’s hard because she’s only 3 but the rest of her school friends can manage this no problem! xx
I had my children texted when they got into kg. After the age of 5. Anything before that they are misdiagnosed
