Presents

Did you have your LO open presents in front of everyone at their party? Is it rude if you don’t?

Some people wanted to see my son play with the toys they got, some didn’t. For first birthdays when there wasn’t an “activity” I am paying for I don’t care. When my son is older and I’m paying for kids to be at a bouncy play place I am NOT paying for guests to sit and watch gifts being opened.

We didn't do it for the baby shower may open a few but not all :)

Haven’t had the party yet but we are opting to not open gifts in front of everyone. We’re going to make an announcement and say if you brought a gift you’d like for us to open with you please let us know.. other than that we’re opening at home so the kids can have more time to play! (We are renting out a bounce house, soft play equipment, and a ball pit)

We didn't open them in front everyone and I dont think anyone minded. We didn't at the baby shower either.

We did not open gifts at the party, we ran out of time and also I already wasn’t really wanting to open gifts with a whole audience. We opened them with just mom/dad/baby

I didn’t. Her party was today.

If you're out at a place with a time limit, I wouldn't. Plus it's harder to re-pack opened gifts to travel home. If you're home and have time, go for it...my opinion!
