Mother’s Day weekend

I’m just here to vent and listen to your opinion. It’s Mother’s Day weekend and we’re already starting off weak. My 19 month old woke up twice last night to which I was there to handle it. No big deal, I’m used to it. My daughter wakes up screaming “dada dada dada” and as always, he never wakes up. But the second I woke up to grab her he’s all the sudden going to the bathroom for a pee. Then proceeds to ask me, “are you getting up with her” to which my response, “I don’t have a choice do I” Now here I am at 7:00am on a Saturday watching ms.Rachel with my baby. I wake up at 5:30am everyday to get me and my baby ready for work/school while he doesn’t get up until around 8. Ever since she was born my sleep is just constantly disturbed or interrupted. I’ve been waiting to see what he had planned this weekend and he just asks me, “so what do you wanna do” Would it kill you to just be in control for once? I’m so tired of making decisions for everyone. Taking care of everyone. What about me??? If he wanted to he would right. I guess I’m just not worth it to him anymore. Besides that, happy mother’s day to all of the moms who are doing it on their own. Whether it be while married or alone. I see you. I hope you find a sliver of peace this weekend. :)

I'm so sorry your Mother's Day weekend is starting off weak. I'm of the opinion that the night shift should be shared between both parents. Even if 1 person stays home with the baby and the other goes to work. So him not waking up to help is BS to me. When it comes to making plans, most men are clueless. I told my husband what my expectations were for this weekend a couple of weeks ago. So he would have time to plan something. Had I not had that conversation, I'm sure we would be doing something last minute and be stressed about it. And it wouldn't be because he doesn't care, but because he just think about these things in advance unless I remind him. And I'm ok with reminding him lol

@Bela thank you 💜

that’s so frustrating, im so sorry:( you deserve better than that
