Weaning off the dummy

My almost 9month old only uses the dummy now for when she goes to sleep/naps. I've cut it down to get to this stage and she falls asleep instantly when the dummy goes in her mouth but I'm trying to completely wean off before she becomes 12months but I'm struggling. I'm trying to use a soft bunny of associate with sleep along side her dummy to then only use the bunny but it's not going well... like it takes so much longer to put her down and she just cries cuz she's tired and just wants her dummy. Should I just go cold turkey or still try to associate the bunny. Help meeeee.
