Our 4.5 month old has naps every 2 hours. One at 9/9:30 one at 12, one at 3 and one at 6 for half an hour. He normally sleeps an hour a time
Nah. There’s no rush! 😄
Ok thank you all. I just seen certain things from friends and social media that it’s nap time or about their nap schedule and I was like, well I don’t have one. Their babies are a little older but I didn’t know if I needed to try and get into a proper schedule already and I wouldn’t even know how to go about it really, just taking a day at a time.
🤣🤣🤣🤣 what is sleep? 🫠 fr though you might have a routine you just haven't noticed it.
I have an ideal bedtime which I try and stick to because it gives me some time to myself in the evenings, but no nap schedule
We have a routine but no schedule. Some of my friends seem to have babies that love a timetable and can follow those schedules you see online, napping the same time everyday etc, but I’d never be able to get mine to follow one - every day is different! Instead I’m using wake windows to make sure he’s napping 4 times a day and aiming for bedtime between 6.30-7.30.
@Sarah how long are the wake windows for a 4 month old how long are the naps
@Shannon I’ve been working with up to 2 hours for now, in the morning he usually only makes it 1.5 hrs before his first nap then in the evening he can go longer before bed. The Taking Cara Babies website has been really helpful
I’ve really struggled getting any kind of routine, so she doesn’t have one sleep when she sleep and wakes when she wakes it’s hard because my partner leaves at half 5 in the morning for work and doesn’t get back till 7/8 most nights so I sort tea for us so I can’t do her bed time around then because we wouldn’t be eating till late I had a cry about it to him the other day and he was like we don’t have a routine and we are fine and when she’s older she’ll be on the farm a lot more so will probably stuggle for a routine then too! Just taking every day as it comes I just think as long as she’s fed clean and happy it’s all that matters !!
