Training Cups

I’ve been breastfeeding my 6m since he was born, but he only used a bottle maybe a handful of times😅 He’s got his 2 bottom teeth in and I’ve been fine, but now his top teeth are coming and I don’t know how much longer I can keep this up. I’m trying to switch to pumping/cups but he’s not liking the transition; any tips?

My 6m was watching me drink water from a glass (usually while she was breastfeeding) and wanted to copy. It’s taking LOTS of practice, and she was super eager about it. So having a cup/glass together (to model it)? Yours could have water or juice, and his the house white (breastmilk). Also the super small cups we got from Nuby seem to help. Sometimes sitting in the high chair helps and sometimes a seated lap for a little more leaning helps more (but be prepared for spills).

Thank you🩵

We have these small silicone training cups that are amazing we got them off Amazon! He has to bite down to get any liquids out so it’s a 2 for 1 he gets to teeth and learn to drink! The link: https://a.co/d/3rQgEpr

Those look great! I’ll definitely have to give them a try ! Thank you

@Abigail they’re amazing! Our lil man has been doing so well with them! They come with different lids and straws as they progress!

So far mine has taken interest in the Munchkin weighted straw cup, 360 cup, and just an open cup. He absolutely refuses to take any bottle so we’ll see how transitioning goes. My first transitioned with the weighted straw cup! With him I figured out out his favorite cup and got him used to it with offering water. Then I transitioned one feeding a week (morning to evening). This was at the one year mark when I was switching to regular milk also so may or may not make a difference.
