@Leonie are you doing one meal a day
Id fully planned on waiting til 6 months after we got back from holidays so actually 6 and a half but she's gone completely off her bottles and is quite constipated and miserable, so cos she's showing signs of readiness we might start some little bits of puree now at nearly 24 weeks
@TeriMy bubba is 24 weeks next wed and I’m thinking of starting too. Is constipation a sign of readiness?
I started giving a teaspoon of puree a day a couple of weeks ago and he's gone bonkers for it. Only fruit and veg so far
Started my girl at 4 months started with baby rice and few spoons of veg purée now she 6 and half month and has 3 meals and snacks If baby is reaching for stuff maybe try some finger foods.
We’ve moved to two now. I give him fruit in the morning, and vegetable in the evening. I may start doing a lunch this week as well, he loves it!
We started today, my little boy is 24 weeks but not actually 6 months until the 20th. We started with broccoli🙈
No constipation doesn't show readiness - we've just had chronic constipation since 7 weeks and if I can get a bit of fibre and water into her diet and off the laxatives I'd like to do that!
@Rachel how did it go? I’m thinking of starting tomorrow with broccoli. How did you give it? How much did you give
My girl is 5 and half months, and we’ve started. Shes had mixture of purees, porridge, scrambled egg, carrot fingers, she tried a little chicken, but she is showing all signs of being ready, and brings things to her mouth and picks them up z
I give it in puree form to start, I boiled maybe like 3 florets and then just blended them down. He got on well with it and had maybe between 10-15 spoon fulls!
@Rachel aww! That’s so good! Did you feed him or was he feeding himself? Sorry I’m so clueless
I fed him! He was reaching out for the spoon thought and grabbing the puree making a mess but sure all part of the fun🙈😅

We started on her 6 month birthday 😂 Broccoli, spinach, cucumber and Greek yoghurt so far
I used this weaning chart which I found really helpful to make sure I was giving my LO a variety of foods. I actually date in the circles rather than tick so I can see when he’s had what so he’s not having the same thing everyday. Then each week I plan out my meals for him (or a rough idea) and pick a few things to put together in a meal for him. It’s essentially helpful for tracking allergens too. I try not to overthink it with making fancy things, especially at this age so will just select a few couple of things he’s not had recently and give him them and he loves it. Hope this helps! https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/1883715605/?ref=share_ios_native_control
