Baby being sick after meals

My baby has been sick a few times in the past few days after his meals. We’re doing baby led weaning and he’s breastfed. It’s always been a meal involving spinach omelette strips, but he’s had that loads before and we’ve had no issue. Could he be eating too much? I’m wondering if I should stop feeding him before meals now that he is capable of actually eating quite a lot versus just dropping it on the floor. Or could he have developed an egg allergy a month and a half into weaning, even though he’s had loads of exposure to eggs? Has anyone else been in this situation?

He is probably a bit too full. NHS recommends solids first and then milk , try swapping and seeing if he is still sick. I would think that’s the case before allergy, but you never know☺️

Thank you! I read somewhere that you should do milk first but maybe that’s when they’re first trying solids?

@Hattie Im not too sure to be honest, I think it may vary by region as I remember solid starts (U.S.) suggests an appetizer bottle before from about 6-8 months and then when older only after solids, where NHS is just after. my first and now second were animals with solids so I’ve always done solids first then milk later as I know they would definitely make themselves sick too 😂

Ah I actually began weaning using solid starts so that must be it! I’ll try swapping and see what happens.

We’re in the UK, I was told to give bottle an hour before food unless BLW in which case they can be given bottle and food more or less at the same time.
