What would you do?
Hi, just wanted a bit of advise really, my LGs dad comes round to see them every weekend. I had a rough couple nights sleep due to little one teething and on and off sleep. I asked their dad if it was okay to watch them for a few hours whilst I got a couple hours solid sleep. Which he replied back to “I’m not there to babysit them” how would you reaction to that comment? Not sure if I overreacted to the comment as it triggered something in me 🙈

I'd lose my shit. If he cant parent for a couple hours, and calls it babysitting, why bother at all.
Ok so he can come and take them for few hours while he visits.
I would say ok if you can’t babysit then you’re not going to be seeing them.
Right. He’s not there to “babysit”, because he’s their father, not a fifteen year old girl earning pocket money after school. What a pillock.

Tell him if he’s not there to look after his child he’s not welcome. Also any time he says babysit correct him as he means ‘parent’
