NHS says to keep 2 naps for as long as possible, so I would recommend elongating wake windows for now! It is a bit too early for 1 nap, but plenty of people do it x
@Em would you mind sending me the info from NHS about naps? We're on 1 nap since 11mo, he copes very well and just had a slightly earlier bedtime. Our eldest didn't drop to 1 nap until 14mo so felt early but it's what works for us.
We are literally doing the same atm little one is one next week and have trialed 1 nap the last few days! Only as she woke late one day at 8 so thought I couldn’t fit 2 naps in so pushed the nap out till 12.30 she slept 2 hours and worked well so have continued so 3 days in total and is doing well I found she was taking so long to get down at nap time prior and now goes down much easier so will see how we get on x
@Sophie oh sorry! It is huckleberry that says this, my mind is a jungle atm haha. I can send the link if you like this. If that works for you it works for you! No shame here! My boy just happens to like his sleep😂
@Em thanks for sending that. I've not got huckleberry. Dropping to 1 nap has meant longer daytime sleep and overnight sleep for us so think we'll stick with it. He used to do 30 mins for his first nap and about 1 hour for his second but does 2-2.5 hours when he's on one nap.
@Sophie that's good. Some people struggle at this stage, it's nice to get the nap dropping over and done w! My boy is on about 1 hour each nap. I don't think he could last long enough for 1 longer nap lol
My baby is just doing one nap from 10 months now he is nearly one and we have a constant routine where he wakes up at 6 o clock in the morning and take his nap at 10 o clock for 2 hours and goes to bed at 7 o'clock, some days are slightly different but most of days we follow same routine, Hope this helps xx
