Marina Williams on IG - she has a TON of tutorial videos on Patreon & that definitely costs way less to subscribe than paying to go to school. I tried schooling but they give you an overwhelming amount of info you don’t even need to know so I wouldn’t recommend it for photography🤦🏻♀️ Experience, trial & error, practice are way better teachers👌🏼 What kind of photography are you looking into doing? I have a ton of helpful resources I can send you, you can also look thru the pages I follow thru my photography IG @212_photography You can message me on here too!💞
Just messaged you :) @Jenni-Leigh
I can’t teach you but there are many Facebook groups for beginners where amateurs and professionals share tips, advice, knowledge & more. I think it can help!
Look for a photography group near you. They go around to beaches mountains and parks and just spend time socialising and take photos and share tips. My friend goes to one that’s how I know about it lol I met a girl from peanut and we were sharing hobbies and she’s like “oh I go to this photography group every Saturday” I’m like that’s so cool. Also FB groups. I’m on cloth nappy pages and cast iron pages and elimination communication 😂 whatever your interest is there are FB groups for it I watch all my tutorials from YouTube as well
I'd start with looking for tutorials for your specific model of camera, and get a basic understanding of different photography terms. Learning how to manually change settings like exposure, F-stop and white balance will give you a lot more control over your pictures than just pointing and shooting. Check out your local library for books and even photography classes, often for free. I hope you enjoy your new hobby!
