If you still have some milk coming out (not every time but just in general) then yes, pumping will still *potentially* tell your body to make more milk. I was a “just enough’er” and then became a not quite enough’er lol. I started pumping after I would nurse my baby until there was nothing coming out, and in the beggining I would get basically nothing or literally nothing in the pump. I was seeing a lactation specialist at the time who said that was normal and to continue to pump. And it has gone up since then. I’ve read lots of posts of people becoming even over-suppliers after continuing to pump in this situation
I’ve dropped supply in one breast massively. I tried power pumping last night (pump for 20 mins rest for 10, pump for 10 then rest for another 10, and repeat) and drinking HotTea Mama milks up tea- just woken up in a puddle from my lower supply boob! Strongly reccomend 💃
@Molly this is exactly me right now. My supply dropped after baby became ill and I couldn’t get it up with baby alone. So I’ve started pumping. Initially I was getting droplets now I can collect approx 2oz in a day after feeding baby and baby is now putting weight on again
Oooo good question. Following to see the answers.
